Who we are
This website is run by Sri Amrutheshwara Temple, Dewans Road, Devaraja Mohalla, Shivarampet, Mysuru, Karnataka 570001. In this policy, “we” and “the temple” mean the temple.
You can reach the temple by phone or WhatsApp on +91 93421 83392. The temple does not have an email address for this website yet.
What we collect
We collect only what you type into our forms, plus a few technical items needed to keep the site safe. Giving your details is your choice. Without them we cannot arrange a puja for you, but you can still read every page.

We do not take payments on this website. There are no user accounts, no uploads of birth charts, no newsletter, and no comments or ratings. If we add accounts, kundali uploads, a daily horoscope or payments, we will update this policy first.
Why we use it
We use your details only for these purposes:
- to arrange the puja you asked for and reply to you;
- to answer your enquiry;
- to keep simple temple records of requests;
- to keep the website secure and stop spam.
We do not use your details for advertising, we do not build profiles of visitors, and we will not send you marketing messages.
You give us your details when you send a form after reading this notice. That is your consent for the purposes above. You can withdraw it at any time by asking the temple (see Your rights). Optional statistics and error reports are used only if you press Accept in the cookie banner.
Where it is kept
Booking and enquiry records are kept in a database in Mumbai, India. Only temple staff can read them. The website itself is hosted by Vercel, whose servers may be outside India. Your language, display and last-used name and phone are kept only on your own device.
How long we keep it
The temple has not yet fixed a time limit. Until it does, we keep a request only as long as needed to arrange the puja and for temple records, and no longer than that is useful. We will state the period here once the temple decides.
You can ask the temple to delete or correct your details at any time. The scrambled spam-protection entries are short-lived and old ones are cleared.
Your rights
You can ask the temple to:
- tell you what details we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct details that are wrong;
- delete your details;
- stop using your details, by withdrawing your consent;
- deal with a complaint about how your details were handled;
- record a person who may exercise these rights for you if you cannot (nominate someone).
To ask, call or message the temple on WhatsApp at +91 93421 83392. Tell us the name and phone number you used, so we can find your request. We may ask a simple question to check it is you. We will respond as soon as reasonably possible.
For complaints, contact the temple at the same number. The temple will name a grievance officer; this has not been decided yet and the name will be listed here once it is. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you may also approach the Data Protection Board of India once it is functioning.
Children
A person under 18 should be booked by a parent or guardian. This website is for adults, and we do not knowingly collect children’s details separately. If a child’s details were sent by mistake, ask the temple to delete them.
Security
- The website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
- Only temple staff can open the stored requests.
- For spam protection we keep scrambled hashes, not raw IP addresses, for a short time.
No system on the internet is perfectly safe, so we cannot promise that nothing will ever go wrong. If we learn of a problem that affects your details, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and the date at the top. For a big change, such as accounts or payments, we will update it before the feature starts.
